United States: President Biden was seen walking slowly off-Air Force One and appeared to face difficulty getting into his motorcade on Wednesday night, shortly after testing positive for COVID-19.
The 81-year-old commander-in-chief, amid increasing scrutiny over his mental and physical capabilities, disembarked the plane cautiously in Delaware
Concerns Over Physical Capability
As reported by New York Post, he even appeared to require of need some physical assistance getting into the waiting motorcade which is whisked him off to his Rehoboth Home.
The only thing on his official public schedule for the Thursday is an out-of-town pool call time set for the noon and the Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi who’s supposedly warned Biden that he cannot beat Republican opponent Donald Trump in the November election four of the sources told CNN.
Pelosi who is 84 explained to Biden that his continued re-election bid could also ruin the Democrats chances of winning the House, the sources said.
Impact on Campaign
But having Covid is all but there are some certain critics who got chance to question Biden’s ability to run the case against Mr. Trump in the campaign rallies, interviews and other events also.
And if Mr. Biden continues to test positive for the next few weeks, this would really going to affect his decision to fight the case against Trump and also if he continues to have congestion and a cough as his doctor said on Wednesday it could hamper his ability to perform well in any interviews and his campaigns could schedule from his home.
Internal Debate and Future Direction
While Biden was supposedly “defensive” during the confrontation a senior Democratic advisor indicated that he was starting to become more “receptive” to the idea of stepping aside.
After nearly a month of harsh criticism in the wake of his disastrous performance in the first debate, Biden is “not as defiant as he is publicly,” the insider told CNN.
